| Super Mario Bros. 3 | 7 | Super difficult to beat in one go without save states. Still prefer the original NES art style. |

| Tetris | 7 | Original still holds up very well, addicting formula, but without conveniences. |

| The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past | 7 | Time-tested Zelda formula with difficult and obtuse moments. Or maybe I'm just bad. |
| Mario Paint | 7 | Super charming art tool, mouse controls are a bit outdated by today's standards. |

| Super Mario Kart | 5 | A little nostalgic, but controls have not aged well at all, CPUs cheat. |
| Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars | 8 | - |
| Super Mario World | 8 | Such a whimsical game with whimsical music! Some mean levels towards the end. |
| Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island | 7 | Cute aesthetic and soundtrack, but gets punishing and not very cozy towards the end. |
| Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time | 7 | Classic beat-'em-up but I'm bad at them, my cousin had this game growing up. |
| Tetris Attack | 8 | Love the Yoshi aesthetic, can be more enjoyable and addicting than actual Tetris. |

| Super Mario 64 | 7 | Revolutionary for its time, but super janky now. Almost always miss jumps and fall off. |
| Super Smash Bros. | 6 | Respect the roots, but the movement is a little too janky to play. |

| The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons | 6 | My first top-down Zelda, really struggled to navigate as a first-timer with the changing seasons mechanic. |
| Pokémon Crystal | 7 | Charming Johto adventure with some quality-of-life features, preferred way to play old-school Gen 2. |
| Pokémon Gold/Silver | 7 | Robust Johto journey but with antiquated limitations like limited evolution stones and move tutors. |

| The Incredibles | 6 | My first beat-em-up. Restarted the game multiple times because of password system. Holds up as a licensed movie game. |

| Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga | 8 | Fun and kinetic RPG, some quirky minigames and platforming challenges. Super challening and frustrating final boss. |
| Mario Kart: Super Circuit | 6 | - |
| Metroid: Zero Mission | 8 | My first Metroid game, finally understood the appeal of the series. Satisfying exploring and upgrade loop. Had to play on easy mode. |
| Pokémon Emerald | 8 | The definitive way to play Gen 3, much needed quality-of-life features for modern games. Love/hate relationship with the Battle Frontier. |
| Pokémon FireRed/LeafGreen | 5 | Technically a better way to play Kanto, but some really strange design decisions that hold back the experience. |
| Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team | 7 | Very impressive first entry, love the story, gets very difficult towards late-game. |
| Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire | 7 | Still fun Hoenn adventure, but admittedly limited to less modern mechanics. |
| Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros. 3 | 7 | Played a bootleg copy as a kid, voice lines are annoyingly charming. Somehow made it to World 5 without knowing how to run or fly. |

| Mario Party DS | 8 | Very underrated classic Mario Party. Played a ton during car rides as a kid. |

| Pokémon Diamond/Pearl | 6 | VERY clunky and slow, but also nostalgic and my first Pokémon adventure. |
| Pokémon HeartGold/SoulSilver | 10 | Filled with polish and care, one of the best remakes ever. My first ever Johto journey. |
| Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness | 8 | First played it on an R4 full of games my sister chose. Got hooked into the story and gameplay. |
| Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky | 9 | Even more polished and fleshed out, essentially replaces the originals. |
| Pokémon Platinum | 8 | The definitive way to play Sinnoh. Much snappier, more lore, more polish. Nostalgic soundtrack. |
